   I. 序言(1:1):
How long, O Lord, must I call for Help,
            你不垂聽要到幾時?                                    but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, "Violence!"
            你不拯救要到何時?                                     but you do not save?
Why do you make me look at injustice?
          為何還要容忍行差踏錯?                            why do you tolerate wrong?
             毀滅強暴在我眼前,                     Destruction and violence are before me;
            爭端不斷, 衝突四起.                        there is strife, and conflict abounds.
Therefore the law is paralyzed,
             公理不明難以彰顯.                                  and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
             公理扭曲黑白顛倒.                                  so that justice is perverted.

Look at the nations and watch -
          你們就會大大驚奇!                                 and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
    即使我告訴你們也不會相信.        that you would not believe, even if you were told.
I am raising up  Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people,
    放縱他們橫掃全地奪人居所.  sweep across  whole earth to seize dwelling places not their own.
7  這民族可怕而令人毛骨悚然,                They are a feared and dreaded people;
 他們自己就是法律尊貴過人. they are the law to themselves and promote their own honor.
Their horses are swifter than leopards,
        比黃昏野狼更加凶猛.                               fiercer than wolves at dusk.
        他們的騎兵急速奔馳,                            Their cavalry gallops headlong;
        全都來自遙遠的地方.                            their horsemen come from afar.
         他們像禿鷹盤旋獵食.                  They fly like a vulture swooping to devour.
9       他們為施虐行暴而來,                            they all came bent on violence.
Their hordes advance like a desert wind
         擄獲的戰俘多如塵沙.                            and gather prisoners like sand.
They deride kings and scoff at rulers.
        嘲笑所有堅固防禦城邑;                          They laugh at all fortified cities;
        堆土築壘猛烈進攻佔領.                 they build earthen ramps and capture them.
Then they sweep past like the wind and go on -
         都是充滿邪神怪力惡棍."              guilty men, whose own strength is their god."

III.
O Lord, are you not from everlasting?
          我的神, 我的聖者啊! 我們不會死.         My God, my Holy One, we will not die.
           耶和華啊! 你指派他們執行審判;   O Lord, you have appointed them to execute judgment;
          我們磬石啊! 你任命他們施行懲罰.      O Rock, you have ordained them to punish.
13             你的眼目聖潔不看罪惡,        Your eyes are too pure to look on evil;
                 也絕對不會去容忍奸詐.                  you cannot tolerate wrong.
                 那麼你為何要容忍奸惡?    Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
                      惡人吞噬義人時,                             Why are you silent
           你為何緘默無聲?    while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
You have made men like fish in the sea,
                     如海中生物無君王.              like sea creatures that have no ruler.
The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks,
                        撒網捕捉他們,                          he catches them in his net,
                        拖網網盡他們,                   he gathers them up in his dragnet;
                        歡喜快樂自得.                       and so he rejoices and is glad.
Therefore he sacrifices to his net
                       並且向拖網焚香,                   and burns incense to his dragnet,
                       因他靠網享奢華,                     for by his net he lives in lixury
                       並享盡佳餚美食.                      and enjoys the choicest food.
Is he to keep on emptying his net,
                       毫不留情滅列國?                  destroying nations without mercy?
2:1    我站在崗哨立在城樓;   I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts;
         看看衪會對我說甚麼."                      I will look to see what he will say to me,

     (II) 主的回答(2:1-20):
Then the Lord replied:
               "把啓示寫下明記版上,   "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets
                好讓信使向四方傳播.                     so that a herald may run with it.
3              因啓示需待指定時間,            For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
                所論的終局正確無訛;            it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
                縱有遲延要耐心等待,                          Though it linger, wait for it;
                定必會實現決不耽延.                it will certainly come and will not delay.

See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright -
                         但義人因信得生.                  but the righteous will live by his faith -
5                       的確酒使他亂性,                             indeed, wine betrays him;
                         驕傲自大不得安.                        he is arrogant and never at rest.
                         因他貪婪如陰間,                    because he is as greedy as the grave
                         又像死亡永不足;                        and like death is never satisfied,
                         他攻取列國以及                   he gathers to himself all the nations and
                         擄掠萬民為己有."                          takes captive all the peoples.

             這些人豈不因嘲笑蔑視衪招來五禍:
              1. 第一禍(2:6-8):
Woe to him who piles up stolen goods
               又靠勒索致富有禍了!           and makes himself wealthy by extortion!
How long must this go on?
Will not your debtors suddenly arise?
Will they not wake up and make you tremble?
Then you will become their victim.
Because you have plundered many nations,
             但留下百姓反過來掠奪你         the peoples who are left will plunder you.
             因你暴虐殘酷無情流人血,                 For you have shed man's blood;
     毀滅城邑大肆屠殺城中人    you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

              2. 第二禍(2:9-11):
Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain
               高處安窩避災難有禍了!   to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of ruin!
You have plotted the ruin of many peoples,
                  使家室蒙羞害己命.           shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.
The stones of the wall will cry out,
                  屋內樑柱發出回聲.               and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed
                   靠罪惡造邑有禍了!                      and establishes a town by crime!
Has not the Lord Almighty determinded
                  列國精疲力盡一場空,          that the people's labor is only fuel for the fire,
            這豈不都出於萬軍之耶和華嗎?  that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?
14  因大地充滿耶和華榮耀的知識,  the earth will be filled with know;edge of the glory of the Lord,
             正如大水淹蓋充滿整個大海洋.                     as the waters cover the sea.

Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors,
                因他倒盡囊中酒使他們爛醉,     pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk,
                好讓他窺視他們的赤身裸體.          so that he can gaze on their naked bodies.
You will be filled with shame instead of glory.
Now it is your turn! Drunk and be exposed!
The cup from the Lord's right hand is coming around to you,
                     使羞辱遮蓋你的榮光.                    and disgrace will cover your glory.
17 你對黎巴嫩的暴行必反彈你身,   violence you have done to Lebanon will overwhelm you,
     對野獸的殺滅必令你驚心動魄.         and your destruction of animals will terrify you.
For you have shed man's blood,
                  大肆屠殺流人血   you have destroyed lands and cities and every one in them.

Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it?
                教人撒謊的鑄像又有何用?                     Or an image that teaches lies?
                造像的人竟信靠自己所造,        For he who makes it trusts in his own creation;
                但所造的偶像竟不會說話.                   he makes idols that cannot speak.
Woe to him
             或對沒生命的石頭說: '醒過來!'                who says to wood, 'Come to life!'
Or to lifeless stone, ' Wake up!'
Can it give guidance?
It is carved with gold and silver,
                     一點點氣息都沒有!                                  there is no break in it.
But the Lord is in his holy temple,
                  全地在衪面前都應肅靜."                   let all the earth be silent before him."

 IV.
A prayer of Habakuk the prophet. On shigionoth.

Lord,
                 我聽過你的美譽,                                   I have heard of your fame;
                 對你的作為驚奇.                           I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
           求你在我們的日子裏再作,                                Renew them in our day,
           並在我們的時代廣為民知;                          in our time make them known;
           在你發烈怒之時毋忘施恩.                              in wrath remember mercy.

God came from Teman,
                聖者從巴蘭山降臨.           細拉            the Holy One from Mount Paran.         silah
                衪的榮耀瀰漫穹蒼,                              His glory covered the heavens
                衪的讚美充滿大地.                               and his praise filled the earth.
                衪的榮光好像日出,                            His splendor was like the sunrise;
4              從祂手中發出光芒,                                  rays flashes from his hand,
                衪的大能隱藏其中.                                where his power was hidden.
5              瘟疫在衪面前流行,                                     Plague went before him;
                疫病緊隨衪的腳步.                                 pestilence followed his steps.
6              祂站立, 大地震撼;                                 He stood, and shook the earth;
                祂觀看, 列國戰抖.                        he looked, and made the nations tremble.
                 古老的大山崩裂,                                 The ancient mountains crumbled
                 多年的小山崩塌;                                  and the age-old hills collaspsed.
                 但祂的道路永恆.                                             His ways are eternal.
I saw the tents of Cushan in distress,
                又見米甸住所哀痛.                               the dwellings of Midian in anguish.

Were you angry with the rivers, O Lord?
Was your wrath against the streams?
Did you rage against the sea
            還向大海動怒嗎?    when you rode with your horses and your victorious chariots?
You uncovered your bow,                 silah
                  更徵集許多利箭.                             you called for many arrows.
                  以河川分裂大地;                          You split the earth with rivers;
10              大山見你就扭動,                      the mountains saw you and writhed
                  激流橫掃高山麓,                              Torents of water swept by;
                  深淵怒吼激高浪.                the deep roared and lifted its waves on high.

Sun and moon stood still in the heavens
                   雪亮長矛閃爍下;                       at the glint of your flying arrows,
                   日月在天靜不動.                   at the lightning of your flashing spear.
In wrath you strode through the earth
                並在怒氣中粉碎列國.                 and in anger you threshed the nations.
You came out to deliver your people,
                同時拯救你的受膏者.                            to save your anointed one.
You crushed the leader of the land of wickedness,
細拉        you stripped him from head to foot.       Silah
With his own spear you pierced his head
                當他的兵士驅散我們,                when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,
     垂涎吞噬躲藏難民時;   gloating as though about to devour the wretched who were in hidding.
You trampled the sea with your horses,
                攪動大水使洶湧翻騰.                                churning the great waters.
I heard and my heart pounded,
                洶湧之聲使我唇發抖;                             my lips quivered at the sound;
                 腐蝕侵骨雙腿顫不停.            decay crept into my bones and my legs trembled.
                 我只好靜候災難之日,              Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity
                 快臨到侵略我們之國.                          to come on the nation invading us.

        (II) 信心之歌(3:17-19):
Though the fig tree does not bud
                  葡萄樹也不結葡萄,                   and there are no grapes on the vines,
                  田地荒蕪沒有出產,                        and the fields produce no food,
                  羊圈之中空無一羊,                   though there are no sheep in the pen
                  牛棚中也空無一牛;                            and no cattle on the stalls,
18               我卻因耶和華歡喜,                            yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
                   因我的救主神快樂.                        I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19             主耶和華是我力量;                     The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
                使我雙腳如鹿雙蹄,                  he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
                讓我能在高地奔馳.                       he enables me to go on the heights.

           交詩班長, 用絲弦樂器伴奏.   For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

                                                                  (全文完)

                                                             感謝主, 讚美主,
                                                             一切榮耀歸我主,
                                                             哈利路亞, 阿們!
